Nuclear & Atomic Films Wanted!
The 11th International Uranium Film Festival of Rio de Janeiro is now accepting submissions. Regular deadline for the Film Entry: February 6, 2022. The festival is scheduled for May 19 - 29, 2022 at the Rio de Janeiros Modern Art Museum Cinema (MAM Rio) and for October 2022 in Berlin.
Some say nuclear power is clean and saves the climate. Others oppose it. It's dirty and also generates CO2. The International Uranium Film Festival invites filmmakers from all over the world to send their films on nuclear power, from uranium mining to nuclear waste. A focus of the festival 2022 is uranium mining, its consequences, legacy and clean-up in Latin and North America, in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia.
The International Uranium Film Festival is dedicated to films about nuclear power and the risks of radioactivity: from uranium mining to nuclear waste, from nuclear war to nuclear accidents, from Hiroshima to Fukushima, from Marie Curie to Julius Robert Oppenheimer, from uranium to radium, radon and plutonium.... The festival is open for all genres and lengths. Documentary, Fiction, Animation ... It is not mandatory that the movies are new productions. The festival is competitive. The best films receive the Uranium Film Festival trophy.
