The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung's Palestine & Jordan, in cooperation with the Royal Film Commission of Jordan and the Goethe Institut Jordan, is inviting for the International Uranium Film Festival's premiere in Amman, Jordan. The three day event in the Rainbow Theatre from Dec 16 to Dec 18  will show films about uranium, nuclear power and Fukushima. The Brazilian born film festival is also backed by a number of Jordanian environmental organizations in Amman.  Download Program

 

The official report of the 4th International Uranium Film Festival Rio de Janeiro May 2014 is now published. More than 60 nuclear and atomic documentaries, movies and animations were screened in the Cinematheque of Rio de Janeiro's Modern Art Museum between May 14th to May 25th. The 66 pages report "Victories & Dificulties" includes photos, statements, the Yellow Oscar and Special Achievement Awards and the list of all screened films.  Please Download here the Report! 

 

 

The Uranium Film Festival travelled for the 2nd time to India, a country with 1,2 billion people still looking for 24 hours electricity. India is still in need for cheap energy for millions of small housholds. Is nuclear power the solution? Is it save, clean and cheap? The festival travelled to 6 cities, reached over 4000 spectators. The Uranium Film Festival of Rio de Janeiro goes again to Berlin. This time it will be in the Babylon cinema, Sept. 29 to Oct 04, showing new atomic films from around the world. The 2011 in Rio de Janeiro for the first time launched unique festival is the world's only festival dedicated to the entire nuclear fuel chain and radioactive risks: From uranium mining to nuclear waste. After Berlin the Uranium Film Festival will be guest Wunsiedel and Passau in October 2014. Download Berlin festival programme!
