Biography 

born 1947 in Murnau (Bavaria).
Writer, filmmaker, radio journalist, editor.
Several books on Native American resistance in North America.
Since 1973 frequent travels to indigenous nations of Canada and the USA; strong relationsships with the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) and Cree (of Quebec).
Collaborator of Rainer Wittenborn in the mixed-media exhibition
"A River Drowned by Water" (about the James Bay Cree) which traveled the world for 10 years.
Initiator of the World Uranium Hearing, 1992 in Salzburg, Austria.
Director of the Nuclear-Free Future Award, founded in 1998 (this annual award honors outstanding people who fight for a future without nuclear weapons and nuclear energy).
Lecturer at the German School for Journalism, Munich.
Member of the advisory board of the "Society for Threatened Peoples"
(an NGO with consultative status at the UN)
